Postcards from Italy

An imagined holiday in chic surroundings inspired the design of textile brand Society Limonta’s new catalogue

‘All these details gave the catalogue a tasteful design and made it precious.’

Luxury textile brand Society Limonta has published a new catalogue for its Spring / Summer 2022 collection. Designed by Simone Scimmi, the large-format publication (24 x 34.5 cm) is inspired by the fashion magazines of the 1950s, he says.

The collection itself takes the idea of ‘cartoline’ (postcards) as its main concept. ‘The story is about a holiday in Italy, with vintage suggestions, where time and space are not well-defined, like in memories,’ Scimmi explains.

Scimmi co-art directed the project with design studio ThinkingAbout, also based in Perugia, and oversaw the direction of the catalogue from the photoshoot, which took place at the Palazzo Daniele in Puglia, to the final editorial design. The catalogue was printed digitally with Indigo HP and employs Singer-sewn binding.

‘I chose Arena Natural Rough 120 g/m2 for the inside pages and Arena Natural Rough 300 g/m2 for the cover,’ Scimmi adds. ‘All these details gave the catalogue a tasteful design and made it precious.’
