Champagne Mailly

For its new L’Intemporelle Blanc packaging, Champagne Mailly Grand Cru replaced a plastic insert with a ‘cradle’ made from 7 mm thick éclose®
Graphic designPackagingSustainability

For its new L’Intemporelle Blanc packaging, Champagne Mailly Grand Cru replaced a plastic insert with a ‘cradle’ made from 7 mm thick éclose®, and with the box sheathed in Tintoretto Ceylon Crystal Salt 140 g/m2. The insert’s curved rim slightly ‘overflows’ to keep the box closed, while protrusions in the base ensure the bottle remains immobile. This move to create entirely recyclable packaging is just the latest in a series of increasingly sustainable packaging innovations from Champagne houses. The box was manufactured by Cartonnages Bes, based in Grignan, France.
