International packaging design agency Burgopak has many clients in the financial sector. Lucy Parker, Burgopak’s head of artwork, talked to Pulp about designing packages for banking cards that slide, fold and wrap.

One recent project – for financial technology company Oxygen – was a set of four packages that represented the elements: earth, water, air and fire. Parker explains that the package ‘had to reflect the premium value invested by the customer’ who would receive their card and payment instructions through the post. Oxygen chose Sirio Color Dark Blue for the material ‘as it delivered a premium look and feel’.

The Burgopak team also worked with financial technology company Mercury to create streamlined packaging to deliver a product card to customers. Parker says, ‘The packaging structure itself is a book-style design that reflects the minimal artwork and aesthetic created by the Mercury team.’ The choice of material was a key factor for the packaging, choosing Sirio Color Perla to elevate the look.

Burgopak has manufacturing locations around the world, including the UK, Poland, Ukraine, India, the Czech Republic, UAE and Mexico, as well as global offices in the UK, Australia, US and China.

Another package produced by Burgopak Poland was created for financial services agency Genesis Block. This packaging used Sirio Color Black with holographic hot foil.
