Milan-born illustrator Beppe Giacobbe has an international reputation for perceptive observations on the human condition. Visionary Dictionary is a generous collection of his more recent illustrations. The work is sequenced alphabetically from Abuse, via Courage and Politics, to Zoanthropy.
Each image is captioned with its concept, publication and date. Giacobbe’s most regular outlets are the newspaper Corriere della Sera and its supplement La Lettura, and there are also illustrations for Sette, Reader’s Digest, Télérama and others, plus unpublished and personal work.
