Founded in 1970, Paris-based L’Agence Pop-up focuses on creating paper folding systems as an imaginative and unconventional way to communicate to audiences. The agency not only keep the product’s design in mind, but also has the means to manufacture their dimensional paper creations. Pop-up can create custom pop-up designs for clients that include different types of high-end finishes, such as laser cutting and hot stamping.
When talking about how Fedrigoni papers are the stock of preference for the agency’s pop-up designs, CEO Yves Zirah states that, ‘it is consistently the same top quality, grain density and color – stable in print, as well as being die-cut and laser-cut friendly’.
Founded by Parisian businessman Jacques Kukurudz, the agency’s work has ranged from real estate to food to aviation and a variety of French luxury such as Chanel and Dior.
As a long-time tradition, the agency sends its clients a New Year’s greeting card that is designed in a creative way. Zirah says: ‘This year’s design featured a cuckoo clock to thank clients for precious and valuable time spent working together.’ Beside signaling the agency appreciation for collaboration, the cards make a great keepsake. Screen printed on Sirio Color Iris with three inks, the card also features selective varnishes.
Commenting on the interactive qualities of pop-ups, Zirah states that they ‘have lively and dimensional properties with infinite number of open-up and close-down features, never collecting dust somewhere on a shelf’.
